SCREEN PRINTING ARTWORK GUIDELINES

Preparing Your Artwork Files for Screen Printing

All artwork is preferred in vector format (full size) as Adobe Illustrator or Illustrator pdf files. • Raster graphics must be formated at 300 dpi or higher at full size.

• We accept the following hi-resolution file formats: eps, ai, svg, pdf, psd, tiff, and hi-resolution jpg.

• Vector files and color separated artwork are strongly encouraged.
• All fonts must be converted to outlines or the font file(s) must be included with artwork.

• Your design should be created at the size you want it printed. Keep in mind that all garments will have the same print size(s) unless additional screen setup(s) are requested and sized accordingly.

• If precise color matching is required, please create your design with Pantone matched spot colors or include the Pantone numbers that are to be matched when you submit your artwork.

• When designing something intended to be screen printing, it is suggested to avoid gradients, small text sizes, thin lines and fine details to acheive the best printed results.

• While creating your graphics stick to using areas of solid color and a specific color pallete. Remember that the more colors used in a design, the higher the cost will be to print it.

• If you have questions regarding the print readiness of your artwork, please contact your graphic designer or our art department.

• If you do submit your artwork as low-resolution graphics, it may be subject to design charges necessary to recreate your artwork as a print ready graphic.

EMBROIDERY ARTWORK GUIDELINES

Preparing Your Artwork Files for Embroidery

• All new embroidery jobs require a digital file be created out of your submitted artwork. This process is known as “digitizing.”

• The pricing of your order is determined based on the amount of stitches in your embroidered design.

• Digitizing is a one time expense per design. Once your logo, artwork or design is digitized you can re-order as many times as you wish with no additional setup costs.

• Depending on the type of garment (structured hat, unstructured hat, polo shirt, jacket, etc), a separate digital embroidery file may be required to complete the job.

• If you already have a digitized artwork file, please submit it in DST or EMB file format. If you provide digitized artwork, the setup fee is not applied to your order.

• For new jobs, submitted artwork is preferred as a vector or hi-resolution artwork file. If unavailable, please submit the highest quality file you can.

• When designing something intended to be embroidered, it is suggested to avoid gradient, shading, transparency, distressed and other similar elements in your artwork.

• Text letter size must be at least .25″ high or a font size of at least 24 at the final embroidered size.

• If precise color matching is required, please include the Pantone numbers that are to be matched when you submit your artwork.

• We offer “3D Puff” embroidery (also known as “raised” embroidery), a process that involves adding foam underneath the thread to achieve “3D” or “raised” effect to the graphics.

• “3D Puff” embroidery requires the artwork to consist of large, solid areas of color. All elements in the design should be at least .25” in width. Thin lines and small details can not be embroidered using this method.

• Maximum embroidery size for a left chest embroidery is 4.25” wide x 4.25” high. • Maximum embroidery size for the front of a hat is 4.25” wide x 2.25” high.

• If you have questions regarding your embroidery artwork, please contact your graphic designer or our art department.

• If you do submit your artwork as a low-resolution graphic, it may be subject to design charges necessary to prepare the file for digitizing.
